I'm a big fan of the projects of Christian Nold in a net-groupie kind of way, and his latest newsletter brings news of his new project - the Bijlmer Euro. This uses RFID tags stuck to notes to track the flow of currency between people - I particularly like the way you can make your own from local travel cards.
